Collagen is a fibrous protein in which three α-peptide chains are twisted into a triple helix configuration. The glycine, proline and hydroxyproline are arranged in this order to form Collagen. Collagen is mainly derived from tissues such as fish scales and fish skins; and a small amount comes from intestines, bones, and muscles of fish.
