2. Sapindus Mukurossi Extract Source
Sapindus mukorossi is a deciduous tree of family sapindaceae. It is native to all parts of the Yangtze River basin in China and throughout the Indo-China Peninsula, India and Japan. Sapindus is the only plant written in Compendium of Materia Medica that is used for shampooing and washing. The fruit is the most valuable part of the tree, especially for shampooing and facial cleansing. It can be directly used to extract saponin that is added in cleansing products.
