A customer from Korea mainly manufactures cosmetics. In September 2021, we sent DCR®516 samples to the customer, and in October we received the following feedback.
The customer mainly mentioned that Plamed DCR®516’s physical property test results are excellent. He also said that he will purchase in bulk after DCR®516’s efficacy test is confirmed.
There are many other customers who still know little about the effect of DCR®516, so we will introduce the efficacy in the following.
DCR®516 is a natural cosmetic ingredient for anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant properties. It is extracted from the dried rhizomes of kava pepper. INCI name is PIPER METHYSTICUM ROOT EXTRACT. Because DCR®516 effectively inhibits the overreaction of sensory nerves, skin redness, tingling and burning can be relieved immediately. Plamed DCR®516 is white powder with good water solubility, which is advantageous for adding to cosmetics.
DCR®516 for Anti-irritation
DCR®516 reduces the stimulation received by the skin nerve cells, so that it can instantly relieves skin discomfort such as tingling, burning, itching, and redness.
Plamed tested the anti-irritant properties of DCR®516 using zebrafish. It was found that DCR®516 has great anti-irritant properties at the concentration of 0.06%.

- DCR®516 for Anti-inflammation
According to the study, DCR®516 has been demonstrated to have anti-inflammatory properties in cells, because it can inhibit the generation of the inflammatory mediator (exogenous prostaglandin PGE2).
