- Bakuchiol uses in anti-aging

- Bakuchiol uses in anti-inflammation
The presence of inflammation can lead to a wide range of frequent facial problems, redness, swelling, itching and easy sensitivity. This is why antibacterial and soothing are also important for skin care. It has been found that bakuchiol has protective effect on various skin oxidative damage induced by lipopolysaccharide. It reduces the expression of pro-inflammatory factors TNF-α and IL-1 produced by lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammation in the skin. Therefore, it can be said that bakuchiol has a very good soothing effect; and it’s suitable for sensitive skincare.

Bakuchiol inhibits several inflammatory mediators, not only PLA2, but also LTB4 and TXB2 in human neutrophils and platelet microsomes. In addition, it can inhibit the degranulation of human neutrophils. In rat experiments, it also inhibited leukotriene production, migration, and cell degranulation. In the study, the researchers also found that bakuchiol inhibited the expression of MMp matrix metalloproteinase. MMp levels are significantly higher in acne skin than in normal skin, and it destroys extracellular matrix proteins such as collagen and elastin. In other words, bakuchiol has a certain role in preventing acne and acne marks.
- Bakuchiol uses with other cosmetics ingredients
Bakuchiol can combine with other skin care ingredients in the treatment of oily acne-prone skin. For example: 1. Salicylic Acid can penetrate deep into the pores to dissolve skin oil and dirt, and can be used with bakuchiol to further reduce pore clogging and acne breakouts.
- Tartaric acid can stimulate the skin’s metabolism and stratum corneum renewal, combination with bakuchiol can make the skin smoother and more refined.
- Antioxidants can protect against the external environment on the skin, and can also help to protect the skin from environmental damage. It can further enhance the antioxidant ability of the skin when used together with bakuchiol.
- Bakuchiol formulates with retinol, which can achieve double effect for anti-aging.
- According the test, the combination of 0.5% bakuchiol and 0.5% ectoin has a far higher anti-aging effect than the ultra-high concentration of pro-xylane.
Bakuchiol has been widely used in foreign markets, including Nivea and REN have launched bakuchiol products for years. Bakuchiol uses in cosmetics are mainly for anti-aging, anti-inflammation, it’s a good alternative for retinol, and more safe and stable than retinol.
