Acne, also known as pimples, is a chronic inflammatory skin disease of follicular sebaceous gland unit. Due to various factors such as staying up late, life pressure, air pollution, etc., there are more and more people with acne skin. And consumers are gradually increasing their attention to acne related skin care products. According to the research, there are almost 73.49% end-users who prefer anti-acne products containing natural plant ingredients.
Effects of PMAnti-acne® 9997 for Acne Reduction
Therefore, Plamed develops a natural ingredient PMAnti-acne® 9997 for anti-acne. It’s a natural compound of magnolia officinalis bark extract, pueraria lobata root extract and glycyrrhizinic acid.
Why PMAnti-acne 9997 has such potent effect? Because it plays an all-around role in treating acne by 3 ways:
- Anti-bacterial: At the same dosage of 2%, the inhibition rate to P. acne of PMAnti-acne® 9997 was more than 99.9%, which was 3 times that of metronidazolefor medicinal purposes.

PMAnti-acne® 9997 for Acne ReductionTest in Vivo
Plamed done the anti-acne test in human skin. Five subjects who met the criteria were recruited to evaluate the anti-acne efficacy of cosmetics by instrument test and visual evaluation. The concentration of PMAnti-acne® 9997 in the formulation is 1%. After cleansing and toning in the morning and evening, apply appropriate amount of this product evenly to the facial skin, gently massage until absorbed.
After using the test product for 8 hours, the volume of the test sample area of the subjects was significantly different from the baseline value. After using the test product for 24 hours, there was a very significant difference in the volume of the test sample area compared with the baseline value. After using the test product for 32 hours, there was a very significant difference in the volume of the test sample area compared with the baseline value.

After using the test product for 8 hours, the number of acne in the test sample area of the subjects was significantly different from the baseline value. After using the test product for 24 hours, the number of acne in the test sample area of the subjects was significantly different from the baseline value. After using the test product for 32 hours, the number of acne in the test sample area of the subjects was significantly different from the base value.

PMAnti-acne® 9997 Solubility in Cosmetics Formulation
We also test PMAnti-acne® 9997’s solubility in different solvents. Measure 10g of 1,3-propanediol, 1,2-pentanediol, 1,2-hexanediol, and glycerol (glycerin), add a certain amount of PMAnti-acne® 9997 sample, and ultrasonically dissolve it at room temperature, observe the dissolution phenomenon, and if it is completely dissolved, then continue to add a certain amount of PMAnti-acne® 9997 sample, and ultrasonically dissolve it at room temperature until insoluble material appears, stop adding. The total weight of the added PMAnti-acne® 9997 sample is recorded and the maximum solubility is calculated.

In conclusion, PMAnti-acne® 9997 can be soluble in 1,3-propanediol, 1,2-pentanediol, 1,2-hexanediol, but not soluble in glycerol (glycerin).
