1. Mangiferin Overview

Mangiferin is a natural polyphenolic compound. Mangiferin is found in a variety of plants, such as leaves, fruits, bark of Mango and almond tree. Mangiferin is light yellow powder. It is slightly soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, and soluble in hot dilute ethanol, hot dilute methanol; but it is insoluble in non-polar solvents. 2. Mangiferin Source

Mango (Latin name: Mangifera indica L.) is a tropical evergreen tree of sumac family. Mango has a wide range of distribution. There are more than 100 countries cultivating mangoes in the world. Mango in China is mostly planted in Guangdong, Guangxi, southern Fujian, Hainan, Yunnan and Taiwan. Among them, Guangxi is the major producing area; Guangxi Baise has the reputation of “First Township of Mango”.
