2. Botanical Source
Calendula (Latin name: Calendula officinalis L.), also known as pot marigold, is a perennial herb of the family Asteraceae. Its flower is yellow or orange-yellow. It is native to southern Europe, Mediterranean coast. Nowadays, it is cultivated all over the world. Calendula has effect of clearing away heat and detoxifying. 4. Anti-Blue Light Material DCR029 Benefits
- Anti-blue light
Blue light is similar to ultraviolet light. The damage caused by blue light to skin is firstly photo-aging. Blue light can cause skin to become rough, and lead to pigmentation and telangiectasia. Secondly, it causes photo-linear skin diseases, such as polymorphous sunlight eruption, chronic actinic dermatitis, actinic reticuloid. Finally, blue light can exacerbate many skin conditions, including pigmented skin diseases (such as freckles, chloasma), seborrheic dermatitis (such as acne), connective tissue diseases (such as lupus erythematosus, dermatomyositis), skin cancer (basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, etc.). DCR029 can quench free radicals, and filter harmful high-energy blue light. DCR029 also helps to remove free radicals that cause skin aging; it reduces skin aging caused by sunlight, thereby delaying skin aging, and avoiding sagging skin and wrinkles.

Phenomenon:
Left picture shows blue-light passes through clear water, and passes through yellow-green pigment solution. Right picture shows that strong blue-light is completely absorbed by DCR029.
Conclusion:
- Both clear water and yellow-green pigment solution cannot absorb blue light.
2.DCR029 has a strong absorption of strong blue light. It relies on its unique complex molecular structure to absorb blue light, not rely on its own color.
- Blue light emitted by computers and mobile phones is much weaker than that emitted by blue-ray pens. So adding 0.08% DCR029 can resist blue light emitted by mobile phones and computers, thereby protecting skin from being damaged by blue light.

Preparation method:
- Mix DCR029, grape polyphenol and aloe extract, and freeze in the refrigerator as phase A;
- Mix glycerin, jojoba oil, palmitate, stearic acid and heat to 90°C, stir and dissolve as phase B;
- Mix salicylic acid, octyl-methoxycinnamic acid, hyaluronic acid, and heat to 100°C, stir and dissolve as phase C;
- Use homogenizer to stir, slowly add phase B to phase C, and continue homogenizing for 2 minutes. Then keep temperature at 70-80°C to stir and defoam. When the system is cooled to 50°C, add phase A, while adding vitamin A and zinc oxide. Then continue to stir slowly and discharge at room temperature.

Preparation method:
- Mix B phase ingredients and heat to 85℃. Then keep warm for 20 minutes.
- Mix C phase ingredients and heat to 90℃. Then keep warm for 20 minutes.
- Under rapid stirring, add B phase to C phase, and stir for 10 minutes. Homogenize at 80℃ for 30 minutes. Cool to 70℃, then add D phase, stir and homogenize for 1 minute. Then cool to 55℃, add A phase and E phase, stir evenly, and cool to 40℃.
