Exhibition review-Plamed Attended 2023 Personal Care Technology Convention

On November 22-23, 2023, the Personal Care Technology Convention (PCT) and Exhibition hosted by Ringier Industrial Media concluded successfully in Guangzhou! As a grand event in China focusing on cosmetics technology and market, leaders of government associations of the cosmetics industry, academic experts and representatives of well-known brands were invited to discuss hot topics such as trends, technological innovations and regulatory developments in the cosmetics industry. The conference brought together more than 100 big names and experts in the cosmetics industry to share their experiences, brought together more than 250 exhibitors, and attracted 3,000 visitors to visit and communicate.

At this convention, Byron Xue, general manager of Plamed, delivered a speech titled “Application of miRNA in Skin Barrier”. Through innovative technology, mechanism of action, action pathways and efficacy data, we introduced how miRNA can become an AI exfoliation factor, which can selectively promote the shedding of damaged cuticles and accelerate the production of new cuticles. It is different from the indiscriminate exfoliation of stratum corneum. It is a brand-new intelligent skin barrier repair factor.

Plamed cosmetics ingredients for sensitive skin

Plamed mainly promoted a series of sensitive muscle raw materials such as PMOil-control® 9574, PMSoothe® Kava, PMRelief® 9982, which attracted the attention of many customers.

PMOil-control® 9574 is an oil-control, anti-irritant and mild ingredient for oily sensitive skin. It is made from white willow bark extract, kava pepper root extract and pueraria root extract. At the same concentration, the inhibition rate of PMOil-control® 9574 on 5α-reductase was 2-3 times that of PCA zinc and yeast zinc. The skin patch test on 30 people showed no skin adverse reactions.

PMSoothe® Kava is a powerful analgesic and immediate anti-irritant skin care ingredient. It is extracted from the dried roots of kava pepper by supercritical cryogenic extraction and supramolecular embedding. The inhibition rate of PMSoothe® Kava on TRPV1 protein expression was 34.81%. In zebrafish anti-stimulation experiments, 0.25% concentration of PMSoothe® Kava inhibited 98% of the stimuli.

PMRelief® 9982 is a combination of matrine root extract and peony root extract. It’s a water-soluble ingredient with superior anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. PMRelief® 9982 has the same inflammatory relief effect as α-bisabolol. The results of zebrafish neutrophils experiments showed that it inhibited the inflammatory response up to 82%. At 0.05% concentration of PMRelief® 9982, the nerve soothing effect is 99%.
