China Cosmetic Ingredients Market Dynamics in the First Half of 2024
The 2023 Ringier Personal Care Technology Summit was successfully concluded on July 20 in Shanghai, and the 2023 Ringier Technology Innovation Award for the personal care industry was presented at the same time. Plamed DCR®520, with supramolecular capture technology, was unanimously recognized by industry experts and judges, and won the Ringier Technology Innovation Award.
DCR®520 is a compound of PIPER METHYSTICUM ROOT EXTRACT and HYDROLYZED CITRUS AURANTIUM DULCIS FRUIT EXTRACT. Among them, kava pepper is able to inhibit the overreaction of sensory nerves, thus significantly increasing the skin’s tolerance to external stimuli, making it a natural cosmetic ingredient with strong analgesic and anti-irritant effects. Lime is a citrus plant of the Rutaceae family. Lime fruit is rich in free and glycoside type flavonoids, not only has inhibited TRPV1 inhibition, but also helps to reduce capillary fragility, increase vascular elasticity, reduce capillary wall permeability, and reduce irritation allergy-induced redness.
Based on neuronal cell and keratinocyte tests, Plamed proved that DCR®520 has excellent inhibition of action potential, the inhibition rate of action potential is 93.75% at the concentration of 1.2mg/mL, the inhibition rate of TRPV1 is 26.53% at the concentration of 0.0078%, which is close to the inhibition rate of 4-tert-butylcyclohexanol to TRPV1 at the same concentration. Therefore, DCR®520 is a natural cosmetic ingredient with excellent neurological anti-stimulation.
