2. PMSoothe® Kava97 Action target for anti-irritation
PMSoothe® Kava97 blocks the production of burning, pain and itching through two targets simultaneously, mainly acting on the skin sensory nervous system. It can inhibit both neural excitation (inhibiting TRPV1 protein expression) and neurotransmitter transmission (inhibiting AP signaling), thus achieving instant nerve relief.
Compared to traditional TRPV1 target, inhibition of action potentials (APs) blocks multiple stimulus signals more comprehensively. There are multiple receptor subtypes such as TRPV1-TRPV6 distributing in human skin, which perceive different stimuli respectively. Traditional TRPV1 inhibitors have the limitation of having a single target of action. However, regardless of which TRPV receptors is activated, the stimulus signals generated ultimately need to be transmitted to the brain in the form of AP. - AP target inhibition test
Based on neurons, PMSoothe® Kava97 at 0.45% concentration can inhibit AP (AP) induced frequency by 89.34%.
- TPV1 Protein test
Based on keratinocytes: PMSoothe® Kava97 inhibited capsaicin receptor (TRPV1) by 35.64% and 41.58% at concentrations of 0.08% and 0.25%, respectively. The effect at the same concentration was close to that of 4-tert-butylcyclohexanol.
- Soothing irritating ingredients
Based on chick embryo chorioallantoic test: 0.5% PMSoothe® Kava97 reduces the moderate irritation of salicylic acid to a mild irritation. 0.5% PMSoothe® Kava97 reduces the moderate irritation of vitamin A to no/light irritation. 0.5% PMSoothe® Kava97 reduces the moderate irritation of phenylethyl resorcinol to no irritation.
- Zebrafish total moving distance
Based on zebrafish test: PMSoothe® Kava97 at 0.25% concentration has nerves soothing effect as high as 97%.
- Human Face Anti-Irritation Efficacy Test
Stimulate the faces of 30 eligible subjects with sensitive skin with 0.01% capsaicin, then use a single application of the product PMSoothe® Kava97, as a result, there are significant improvements in the area of red areas of the skin and a-values at all time points compared to the matrix control group.
The recognition degree of 30 subjects after using the product for 30 minutes: The faces of 30 eligible subjects with sensitive skin were stimulated with 0.01% capsaicin, and then after a single 30-min application of the product, it was felt that the product was able to provide 100% relief from burning and tingling of the skin, 93.55% relief from itchy sensations, and 83.87% relief from redness and other phenomena of the skin.

6. PMSoothe® Kava97 Technology
Plamed Kava Extract uses advanced green supercritical extraction technology. In this technology, CO2 is compressed into a liquid as an extraction solvent, replacing chemical solvents such as ethyl acetate and methanol. After extraction, we also have CO2 recovery technology, the residual amount of CO2 in the final product is lower than the CO2 content in the air.
