· Anti-inflammation
Matrine regulates the body’s immune response (differentiation of Th17 cells). Also, it inhibits the release of inflammatory mediators, thereby inhibits the inflammatory response of skin lesions, and effectively inhibits IgE cross-linking and the release of histamine, leukotrienes and other transmitters. Matrine can stabilize cell membranes and exert anti-inflammation effect for skincare.
· Anti-bacterial
Modern pharmacology shows that matrine inhibits the release of P. acnes and bacterial outer membrane vesicles. Additionally, it can inhibit a variety of bacilli, streptococcus b and Staphylococcus aureus in vitro to varying degrees, as well as a variety of dermatophytes. Thus, matrine can treat acne and pimple.
